What is State + Jones
Located at the intersection of State Bridge & Jones Bridge Roads,
State + Jones Coffee is an elevated new coffee & tea cafe. We believe good coffee and good food are best paired with good people. We are honored to serve our local Johns Creek community.
Our goal is bring back the neighborhood coffee shop
Once upon a time the coffee shop was the meeting place that represented the culture and feel of its neighborhood. Unfortunately most are gone due to the big national corporations. In 2009, Anthony and Shelby Harris dreamed of opening a coffee shop until life and family had other plans for them. Now 15 years and 2 amazing sons later, they are proud to bring State + Jones to life with Shelby's design flair creating a beautiful and inviting space, combined with Anthony's love for technology and attention to detail, you can count on a consistently excellent curated selection of coffees, teas and flavors.
We love our town and we love our neighbors. Let's all come together more often for some really good coffee and even better food. State + Jones aims to elevate the coffee and tea experience in a charming cafe. Come in to get some work done (free wifi + all tables have charging stations), relax and read a book, play some of our vintage board games or just catch up with an old friend. State + Jones proudly partners with Chicago based Big Shoulders Coffee: 2024 Golden Bean winner (Specialty Coffee Association) and voted #1 independent Coffee Shop in the US (USA Today) to supply our espresso, daily & cold brew. They have 57 91+ rated coffees by Coffee Review.com and we rotate their seasonal offerings for single brewed options.
We also offer a small batch roasts and the story behind how we were introduced to Archetype Coffee Roasters is a little more interesting and definitely fate. While attending the 2024 Specialty Coffee Expo we were admiring packaging and approached a barista to inquire about his product. We couldn't even speak due to all the fans wanting selfies and glad handing. We soon realized we were in the presence of a celebrity: Isaiah Sheese was the reigning US barista champion and ranked 4th in the world and we were drinking the coffee that won. The cup of Colombia Lucy Fernanda Galindez Pink Bourbon was amazing. Now we are the only cafe in Georgia to currently offer this amazing roaster.
